The Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has already been an eventful one, including a walkout by Bernie Sanders supporters, and, of course, the historic nomination of the first woman to be U.S. president. And day three was no different, especially with the night's speakers including President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine. Here are some of the highlights:
1.) We officially have a Democratic vice presidential candidate.
In a roll call vote in the afternoon on Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention, Sen. Tim Kaine was officially nominated to be the Democratic vice presidential candidate.
2.) A billionaire New York City businessman called out Donald Trump, who is also a billionaire New York City businessman.
Former New York City mayor and billionaire businessman Michael Bloomberg, who is actually an Independent and not a registered Democrat, not only asked other Independents to vote for Hillary Clinton, but also called out Trump’s business practices.
Earlier in the day, current New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio addressed the audience, drawing comparisons between “the two New Yorkers,” calling Clinton “smart,” “steady,” and “ready,” and saying that Trump was someone who “was born rich, and then he made a career of ripping people off,” The Atlantic reports.
3.) Tim Kaine ad-libbed "We all should feel the Bern and we all should not want to get Berned by the other guy!" in his speech.
During Sen. Tim Kaine’s speech, when he said Bernie Sanders’s name, it prompted chants of "Bernie! Bernie!” He ad-libbed to regain control of the crowd, saying: “We all should feel the Bern and we all should not want to get Berned by the other guy!"

Even Bernie clapped.
4.) President Obama acknowledged the possibility of Trump winning.
In his speech supporting Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama acknowledged the possibility of Donald Trump becoming president, saying: “It is the nature of democracy that until the votes are cast, and the American people have their say, we don't know [who will win]. I have seen all kinds of crazy stuff happen and I think everybody that goes into campaigns not running scared can end up losing."
When he mentioned Trump's name during his speech, it prompted booing by the crowds, to which Obama responded: "Don't boo — vote!"
5.) Hillary Clinton surprised the crowd by joining President Obama on stage after his speech.
