WThese two girls looked cool and casual in summery sandals and shades of green.

Shingai Shoniwa from the Noisettes looked fabulous with a total sculpture of a hairdo and a very sassy printed mini dress. She gave a high-energy performance, running all over the stage with her guitar and doing a back bend worthy of an advanced yoga class. Photo credit: Loren Wohl.

The combination of rainbow rainboots, a paw print shirt and a polka dotted headpiece is quirky but fun -- glad to see people in the audience approaching fashion with such a sense of humor.

I’d heard about the Diesel:U:Music event weeks in advance but knew the bar was set high to get a wristband: you had to show up at a Diesel store during certain hours on certain days while wearing a pair of Diesel jeans. We’re busy enough here that I’d resigned to missing the chance to see a handful of my favorite artists share a stage. "Duty calls!" I told myself, typing away.

You can imagine how excited I was when Naomi, web assistant and Talking Fashion blogger, offered me her wristband. The line-up included The Roots, Passion Pit, Cobra Starship, Theophilus London, The Noisettes, heartsrevolution, The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt -- not to mention surprise appearances from Lykke Li, Clipse, and Kanye West. Tremendous! And it being a Diesel event, there was plenty of great people-watching to be done. I had a great time and hopefully the photos do it justice!
