Both Kylie Jenner and Demi Moore had eventful nights at the 2025 Golden Globes, with Moore taking home her first-ever Globe and Jenner supporting her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at the awards show for the second year in a row — so what's this about them beefing at the ceremony?

Let's break it down. On Sunday, January 6, Demi Moore took home the prize for Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance. The film, which also stars Margaret Qualley, received critical acclaim upon its release. Near the end of the awards show, Moore made the rounds on the ceremony floor after winning to greet her well-wishers.

In a clip that went viral across social media that night, Moore stops by Timothée Chalamet's table, where seated are his girlfriend Kylie Jenner and his A Complete Unknown costars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro — in that order. Moore has a super sweet exchange with Fanning and Barbaro telling them that she “can't f*cking believe” her win and telling the actresses they “look so beautiful.”

Moore then walks behind Jenner's chair and turns to hold Chalamet's hand, who wishes her a warm “Congrats, congrats!” Then she walks away.

“The way Demi ignored her, oh,” the person who reposted the video to X wrote. (You can see the video here.) In another video angle of the interaction, Jenner can be seen looking back and forth between Chalamet and Moore with a genuine smile, almost as if she were hoping to chime into their conversation. Many social media users began calling the moment a snub to Jenner, claiming Moore blatantly ignored the reality star.

Jenner is a fan of Moore — if you can remember, one of Jenner's 2024 Halloween costumes was a poster recreation of Moore's 1996 film Striptease. At the time, Moore publicly reacted to the costume on Instagram Stories, writing: "Love this!!" and “Nailed it @kyliejenner 🎯.” So what happened? According to Demi Moore's daughter Tallulah Willis, absolutely nothing.

Willis took to her own Instagram Stories the Monday after the Globes to shut down any speculation of drama between her mom and Jenner, sharing a screenshot of a post from celeb news outlet TooFab that asked, “Did Demi Moore snub Kylie Jenner?”

“HI @ everyone but really press, NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD,” Willis started her statement. “We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do, this angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers.”

“There was not [a] snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space,” Willis explained in defense of her mom. “Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”

Ah, the Golden Globes. The awards show that consistently delivers misunderstood viral moments — and unfortunately for Kylothée, this is their second viral misunderstanding in a row. Remember Whisper Gate? Maybe next Globes they'll get out unscathed.
