Cannes is a time to bring your sartorial A-game, and that typically translates into "dresses that make you feel like actual royalty." But the most glamorous red carpet in the world isn't immune to a snafu or two, and we're not just talking about the wardrobe malfunction Bella Hadid handled like a boss.

On Thursday's red carpet for the film "Loveless (Nelyubov)," model Thylane Blondeau walked the carpet in a sheer Dior dress that featured whimsical embroidery and a lot of teeny-tiny pearls. There was just one issue: as Fashionista points out, actress Svetlana Ustinova wore the same exact dress... to the same exact red carpet.

You read that correctly: this wasn't a case of the dress showing up at two different carpets on two different days. Dior had seemingly lent the Spring/Summer 2017 dress to two different people, who ended up wearing it to the same event. It's a bit unclear how this happened, as typically, fashion houses safeguard against lending the same dress for this exact reason.

What's more, playing a game of "who wore it better?" isn't necessary, as that's a practice that pits women against each other, and we have a feeling that neither woke up that day intent on competing on the red carpet as it is. Plus, they styled the look two different ways — Svetlana layered the dress over Dior's now-ubiquitous branded underwear and accessorized with a bold red lip, while Thylane kept things pretty minimal. The biggest similarity? Both stars paired their looks with tons of confidence, which is a key ingredient the next time you show up to a party and see your BFF wearing the same slip dress you just bought from ASOS.
