Nobody is more excited for season 3 of The White Lotus than BLACKPINK's Lisa. Ever since it was announced that she would be part of the cast for the upcoming season of the lauded HBO show back in February 2024, Lisa has not wasted an opportunity to show her excitement about being part of the project — whether is rocking a T-shirt from the show or, now, dishing about her casting.
In a new interview with Elle, Lisa was asked about her involvement in season 3 of The White Lotus and she didn't waste a second to praise her team and, above all, her home country. As you might already know, each season of The White Lotus takes place in a different part of the world, more specifically at one of the resorts of the hotel chain that gives the show its name.
Season one took viewers to Hawaii, and season two followed suit in Sicily. Season 3 was filmed earlier this year in Lisa's native Thailand, and though plot details are being kept under wraps, Lisa is making sure she waves the flag for Thailand in anticipation of the season premiere.
Filming for season 3 of The White Lotus took place in Bangkok and also the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, and Lisa told Elle one of the best parts of the experience was "to be back home" and "to have Thai food every day." The star added that it was also great to have her mom on set and went on to gush about working with series creator, writer, and director Mike White, whom she called "a genius." In a video accompanying the interview, Lisa also said the best part, aside from the food, was bonding with her cast members. "They are so nice, I love them," she added.

In the written interview, Lisa also recalled the moment she was told she had landed the role after her audition. "I think I cried," she recounted. "I was with my friends, my mom's friends, and my mom as well, but I didn't tell them that I auditioned for it. I'm super excited and nervous, because it's my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, 'Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?'"
Given her initial reservations and the stellar cast, ever the perfectionist, Lisa decided to enroll in acting classes ahead of filming, and all doubts soon dissipated. "[Acting] is pretty new to me, but I think it's similar to shooting music videos," Lisa explained. "I'm excited for my fans to see it [and] I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more."
For now, we don't know any key details about Lisa's role — or anyone's, for that matter — but there are theories galore online. Lisa will be acting alongside Aimee Lou Wood, Natasha Rothwell, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Scott Glenn, Carrie Coon, and more.
Season 3 of The White Lotus still does not have a confirmed release date, but HBO has announced it won't air until 2025.
