Billie Eilish stayed fully in theme during her Grammys 2024 performance. The “What Was I Made For” made a nod to an iconic Barbie during her performance.
If you're not familiar with the 1995 Poodle Barbie then, thanks to Eilish, you will be now. The Vintage Barbie 1995 Poodle Parade is a limited-edition doll, and Eilish recreated her outfit. The 22-year-old Grammy winner donned an olive green dress with a white-and-green patterned coat, pink undershirt, and a pink scarf around her head as she sang the hit single. She hinted at the look earlier today on her Instagram.
The Barbie movie continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. With ample dolls existing in the Mattel universe, the amount of homage moments feel endless. Barbie has taken over the world and this moment is another great addition to the long list of fashion moments we've received in the last few months.
Earlier, while walking the red carpet Eilish wore a vintage Barbie-themed bomber jacket from Chrome Hearts. Her black jacket featured light pink sleeves, silver heart-shaped buttons and "Barbie" embroidered in pink on the front. Eilish paired her jacket with an untucked white button down shirt and black dress pants. Oversized is one of her favorite fashion choices and we love to see it.
Outside of the fashion, this is already checking out to be a huge night for Billie Eilish. She and her brother, Finneas, already took home Best Song Written for Visual Media tonight for the Barbie ballad “What Was I Made For?” The song also secured Eilish a few other nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. The “Happier Than Ever” singer was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Labrinth for “Never Felt So Alone,” but SZA and Phoebe Bridgers took home the win.
