Leave it to Bella Hadid, the queen of Y2K trends, to take the visible G-string or whale's tail trend to the absolute extreme. The supermodel just brought the popular 2000s peekaboo style into 2023 with her latest photo dump, where she showed off the ultimate visible underwear in true Bella fashion.
The supermodel shared a handful of pics of her busy life modeling and prepping for NYFW, including one of her posing like a cyborg in a bodysuit and a few cameos from fashion superstars like editor Carine Roitfeld. However, the picture that really caught our eye was a mirror selfie of Bella in a pair of low-rise cargo pants that showed off her super strappy underwear.
In the photo, Bella wears a pair of undies with a plethora of strings all the way past her navel. We only got a glimpse of the front, but we are dying to see the back of the look, too — not to quote Doja Cat.
Bella wore the underwear in question with a white tank trimmed in green, no makeup, and brunette waves. The whole look is very Y2K, which perfectly aligns with Bella's throwback style. She's never met a 2000s trend she didn't want to try!
Wait — is Bella brunette again? The underwear is eye-catching, but so is the fact that the model appears to have gone back to brunette after rocking honey-blonde hair for a few months. Did she go back to dark hair for Fashion Week, or is she wearing a very convincing wig? Was the blonde hair just an experiment? What is the truth, Bella?
