Apple Martin joined a list of other celebrity children this weekend as she made her society debut in Paris, wearing a custom gown.

The 20-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay’s Chris Martin traveled to Paris for the annual Le Bal des Débutantes — simply known as Le Bal — to make her debut. The Bridgerton-style debutante ball has occurred every November since the 1950s and has seen the likes of Margaret Qualley, Lily Collins, Ava Philippe, and more.

Martin has typically kept a low profile over the years despite having such famous parents, but she stepped out in a dress fit for a high-society lady. According to Vogue, she tapped Valentino Creative Director Alessandro Michele to create a custom gown that took more than 750 hours to make. The blue, strapless gown featured six tiers of silk plissé chiffon cinched at Martin’s waist with an oversized black bow. The layers flowed down into an elegant cylinder.

Martin paired the dress with matching blue silk heels and chose to go without a necklace, but instead wore a dainty bracelet and ring. Her hair hung at her shoulders with a simple loose wave, while her makeup was kept elegant and minimal. Martin looked like a spitting image of her actor mother.

Paltrow also wore a Valentino dress to mark the occasion, opting for a black, long-sleeved gown from the brand’s Spring 2025 collection. She shared several photos on Instagram from the lavish occasion, including a mirror selfie with her daughter before the main event and a photo of ex Chris Martin and their son Moses. Paltrow captioned the carousel, “A special long weekend in Paris 💙.”

Paltrow shared several photos of daughter Apple in May, wishing her a happy 20th birthday and proving that the two are almost twins. The resemblance started to show as Martin became a teenager, and she has since embraced her mother’s looks — even trying on Paltrow’s 2002 Oscars dress from Alexander McQueen. Martin fit into the dress perfectly, of course.
