The CFDA Awards 2024 red carpet is all about fashion, but Angel Reese is diverting our attention to beauty thanks to her stunning new look. The WNBA star was almost unrecognizable, with a trendy new hair color that truly lived up to her nickname, Bayou Barbie.

Reese stepped out on the red carpet sporting a new ash-blonde hair color. The new hue perfectly matched her all-white outfit. She opted for a strapless white gown with a split hem. She accessorized the simple and timeless dress with a matching white fur coat and strappy black heels for a trendy “old money aesthetic” feel. She completed the look with a pick and mix of jewelry, including a diamond-encrusted necklace and gold rings.

What gave the look its edge, however, was her new hair. While Reese has sported blonde hair before, we’re not used to seeing her in this cool-toned color, and the CFDA red carpet was the perfect place to showcase it. Her long, ash blonde strands were worn down in loose curls. She also opted for trendy curtain bangs, complete with a Gen Z middle part.

To complete her glam, Reese let her hair be the focal point and opted for a classically chic look. She wore a French mani on her fingers and a matching French pedi on her toes. As for makeup, she opted for a neutral eye shadow with long, voluminous eyelashes. On top of her bronze contour, she wore a touch of pink blush to match her lip gloss as well.

Reese is one of the WNBA’s promising new Gen Z stars, but she’s also quickly becoming one of fashion's too–as made clear by her CFDA awards appearance (she also attended the Met Gala earlier this year). As she continues to make the fashion world her playground, we’re looking forward to seeing her new looks and new hair colors, too.
