Barbiecore might have reigned in 2022, but Angel Reese is singlehandedly making sure the trend also gets a moment to shine before the end of 2024.
On November 17, 2024, Reese attended the 2025 WNBA draft lottery at the ESPN studios in Bristol, Connecticut, with a business casual take on Barbiecore. The Chicago Sky player arrived in the studio ready for her closeup in a fuchsia pink mini suit dress.
“The Last Doll 🩷,” Reese captioned an Instagram post sharing her OOTD, tagging Khloé Kardashian's Good American as the makers of the piece. (Sadly, her exact style is not on the site at the time of writing.) Keeping with the trends alert, Reese accessorized her 'fit with a pair of leopard print kitten heel sandals, brown-framed glasses, and a Chanel choker.
Reese seems to be a big fan of the French house because just one day before the WNBA Draft Lottery event, she also rocked Chanel to ComplexCon 2024, though her take was a lot more casual than business for that occasion.
Reese participated in the 360 With Speedy series at ComplexCon and opted for a look comprised of a Chanel long-sleeved sweater tee with the brand's embroidered CCs in the chest and contrasting brown elbow panels, as well as a denim mini skirt, brown leather boots with white socks, and last but not least a fuzzy Chanel mini purse that she wore crossbody.
Reese has proven to be quite the fashion chameleon as of late. Last month, the star made a statement at the 2024 CFDA Awards, appearing on the red carpet rocking a new ash-blonde hairdo paired with a long, white gown and a matching faux fur shawl.
Until the new WNBA season starts in May 2025, it looks like the Bayou Barbie will keep busy flexing her fashion muscles, and we will be paying attention.
