We all love a good awards show, but last night’s AMAs seemed...special. Honestly, they were kind of the best we’ve seen in a long time. Why? We’re glad you asked, because we just so happened to put together a whole list of the most epic, amazing, and buzz-worthy moments from the grand event below. Let’s just say those three hours we sat at home in front of the TV devouring popcorn were well spent.
1. Taylor Swift’s "Blank Space" performance
If you thought she went insane during the music video, just wait ’til you see it live. There’s fire! Actual fire!
2. One Direction took home three major awards
And celebrated adorably every single time, as they should. Because you know, they did beat Beyonc for Artist of the Year and all.

4. Charli XCX broke all the rules
Really though, her performance was everything.
5. Then 5SOS decided they weren’t going to get shown up
We were freaking out just as much as their biggest fans watching this no-holds-barred performance.
