It's been nearly 20 years since The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants film adaptation hit theaters, but the foursome at the heart of the story — America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel — are still as tight as ever. The BFFs are as close as their onscreen counterparts, and they're always there to support one another, as evidenced by their FaceTime celebration in honor of Ferrera's first Oscar nomination.

Ferrera's former costars FaceTimed her right after the nominations were announced; the actor earned her first nod for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Barbie. “They FaceTimed me as a group right away,” she told Variety. “It’s wonderful to be celebrated and held up by these women who I’ve had the honor of growing up with in the industry.” She shared a screenshot of the group call to her Instagram Stories and each member looks absolutely thrilled; Ferrera appears to still be in bed, which is adorable.

The Sisterhood stars may be busy with their own careers and families, but they always find time to lift each other up. In late 2023, they got together in New York City to attend a special Barbie screening. "I was so happy to celebrate my denim sister @americaferrera. She’s the heart and soul of @barbiethemovie because she’s the heart and soul of everything she’s a part of," Lively wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’ve known her for 20 years. Since I was 16. I’ve watched her live, grow, soar, fall, make, break, push, fight, win, create, forge, disrupt, way make, lead, lead, lead. That speech she gives as Gloria felt as close to real as anything I’ve ever seen on screen. Because that’s who she is. She’s that spectacular, passionate, inspiring and full of heart in her own life.”

The group has also said they'd be down for a third movie, which would center on Carmen, Tibby, Bridget, and Lena as adults. (The second movie was released in 2008.) A third installment remains to be seen, but fingers crossed the sisters are seated at the Academy Awards to cheer on America Ferrera.
