Before she makes the trek to Thailand for The White Lotus season 3, Aimee Lou Wood is making a parkside pit stop on British soil to star in Burberry's summer 2025 campaign — though, of course, you couldn't even tell it's summer from looking at these images.

Aptly titled It’s Always Burberry Weather: London in Love, the brand's new campaign, unveiled today, Feb. 12, is an ode to the English capital — equally loved and hated by many — and the charm of its infamously inclement weather. “[This campaign] is about humor, optimism, and, of course, the unpredictability of our great British weather,” Daniel Lee, the chief creative officer of Burberry, said in a press release.

To capture the warmth — or lack thereof — of the British marvel, Burberry tapped the nation's top-of-the-crop actors (namely Kate Winslet, Jodie Turner-Smith, Micheal Ward, Nicholas Hoult, Richard E. Grant, and Sex Education alum Aimee Lou Wood) alongside global ambassadors Son Sukku and Chen Kun and Burberry-favorite models David Gandy, Liu Wen, and Naomi Campbell to star in seven short films, merged into one, inspired by British rom-coms of the '90s and' 00's focused “on the everyday romances of ordinary Londoners.”

Filmed by Benoît Delhomme with music by Prefab Sprout, Aimee Lou Wood joins forces with Micheal Ward for her short film. The two share a classic cherry picnic — over a Burberry house check blanket, of course — while chatting about romcoms until the rain does what it does best in England: ruin the moment.

“Our Summer 2025 campaign is a joyous celebration of our original purpose – to create clothing that protects people from the weather. It showcases the innovation and craftsmanship that defines Burberry as the ultimate trench and rainwear destination,” Josh Schulman, the chief executive officer at Burberry, explained.

“Working with Micheal was just so fun. He’s hilarious. We laughed but also had profound chats,” Wood shares with Teen Vogue exclusively over email. The reason why she had to be involved in this campaign? “I love rom-coms. Meg Ryan is one of my heroes. And the clothes, of course!”

If rain permits, the Mancunian, much like her character in the short film, enjoys a bit of fresh air when the warmer weather rolls around. “My favorite things to do in summer is sitting outside, having drinks with my friends, and listening to chill music. The days are long and sumptuous,” she adds. “[My most cherished summertime memory] is sitting in Cornwall with my besties eating crab rolls and looking at the sea.”

Wood, who admits she associates Burberry with “London cool kids” — “And those cool kids can be any age. 28 or 80. Burberry is for everyone,” she adds — is having a major moment with the quintessentially British brand. Just a few days ago, she attended the premiere of The White Lotus season 3 in Los Angeles wearing a custom burgundy dress by the brand, which she says is now the most treasured item in her wardrobe — so you can rest assured she will be saving it for a rainy day.
