Ahead, we have four books, out this month, that you need to get your hands on ASAP.

Like her other books (all eleven of them!), this novel has all the makings of a classic summer read. There's romance, of course, but also lots of smart self discovery and life lessons. Best of all, it takes place in a sleepy beach town, so even if you're not spending your vacation in the sand, you can pretend!

Everyone knows Monica Seles is a kick-butt tennis player (she won the French Open when she was just 16 years old, and that was just the beginning of her incredibly impressive athletic career). But grandslamming tennis balls isn't the only thing Monica rocks at—she also happens to be a great writer who penned this dramatic page-turner about—what else?—a young tennis star.

Picture this: A quiet, wallflower-y teen accidentally submits a bummer story that's super critical of her classmates to the school paper. The searing op-ed is printed, and everyone predictably flips. What's not so predictable? The editor decides to give the sharp-witted writer her own column. In addition to complications from being that girl in school, the protag also struggles to deal with her family's ultra-traditional values. For budding writers, this one's a must-read.

Wish you were headed to the Hamptons? (Us too!) The next best thing is to live vicariously through these two girls—one with a super privileged background, the other from much more humble beginnings—land their summer adventures in a beachfront mansion in the chic New York town. This is a refreshing story about friendship (so share it with your BFF!), but there are plenty of family secrets and summer loves to keep your attention, too.
