What's your favorite song on the Victorious soundtrack, and why?
My favorite song would have to be "Best Friend's Brother," because it's from a real life personal experience of mine when I was about fourteen years old.
Also, Dan Schneider, (creator and ecutive producer of Victorious), heard the song and loved it. He asked if he could use it in the show. I felt really honored. It was the first time one of my personal songs that I wrote was used in one of the episodes.
What was it like to record the album with your castmates?
When recording music for the show, we very rarely record together. When someone is needed to record their part, we go in separately. The episodes are shot within a 5 day week and it all moves very fast, so when you're not taping you would go in and record. If there wasn't enough time to do it then, then you would go in on the weekend.
When it comes to performing the music on the show, we all get excited when it's a performance week. The soundtrack is something we're proud of.

What's on your iPod at the moment?
Everything. I love music and I don't limit myself to one genre, so you'll find everything from Motown to Bob Marley to Barry Manilow to Amy Winehouse to the Ramones and everything in between.
Who inspires you most musically?
That's a tough question for me because there are so many people that I'm inspired by! But if I had to choose, I would say that singer songwriters inspire me the most. My mom has recently turned me onto people like Jim Croce, James Taylor, Harry Chapin and Joni Mitchell. When I listen to their songs the lyrics just blow me away. It's the way they tell their stories and their connections to the song that I find really inspiring.

What are your wardrobe staples?
My go-to outfit would have to be a one of my favorite pair of jeans, a colorful tee, and a great pair of boots.
The one thing I can't seem to take off lately would be this black leather jacket by BCBG. It's a hoodie and leather in all in one. It's mostly leather, but it dresses up a jeans look more than a hoodie would. It's so versatile, that you can dress it up or down. It's great for cool LA nights.
What are you loving for fall?
I love my skinny jeans but I'm loving the fact that flared jeans are making a strong comeback. I also love the menswear inspired shoes for women. I love a menswear type of shoe with a dress, tights and a great cardigan.

We love your style as much as your music. Who inspires your day-to-day look?
My day-to-day look is inspired by comfort, color and just how I'm feeling that day. I love fashion and there is no easier way to express yourself than through the clothes you wear. I like to dress for my body type and for my coloring. I don't want to wear a color just because it's the in color, but doesn't look good on me. I have olive skin so I try to stay away from pastels and I will go for the bright and bold colors. I love them!
When it comes to getting dressed for the red carpet, how to you decide what to wear?
I decide based on what kind of event it is. Does it take place in the evening? What season is it? Is it a glam event or is it more conservative? What I would wear to the MTV VMA's would be totally different than what I would wear to the NYC Upfronts.
I also look for something that is flattering on me. I won't go for a dress just because it's a top designer. It has to have many more elements of the things I look for, like color, fabric, cut and how well it's made. The other thing that's so important to me is a dress that's easy to wear. I don't want to be in an amazing dress that I can hardly walk or sit in.

What's next for you?
Right now I'm in Cleveland just finishing up filming a movie called Fun Size. My calendar is really filling up, but I will definitely be going back into the studio to collaborate with some great producers to work on more music.
Then in October, we'll be going back into production on season three of Victorious. As for after that... you never know.
