Starbucks and Ban.do Launch Holiday Collection

It’s a new week and you’re probably still on an early-holiday espresso buzz from this weekend’s Starbucks’ warm peppermint mocha indulgence. ‘Tis the season for holiday drinks, Starbucks’ red cups, and the resurgence of the highly successful ban.dō x Starbucks exclusive holiday collection.

Similar to ban.dō and Starbucks Fall 2018 collaboration, the holiday collection is just as cute, kitschy, and merry as ever. Move over traditional candy cane patterns and ugly sweater motifs. The limited-edition collection, accessible in select licensed Starbucks locations in both the U.S. and Canada, is fancy in festive floral patterns. The overall color scheme of the coffee-meets-stationery collaboration is brilliant in emerald green and ruby red tones.

On ban.dō’s Instagram feed, it is celebrated that this year’s holiday designs were inspired by “popular floral patterns, and ribbon-like typography inspired by gift wrap.” Ban.dō’s feminine designs and whimsical phrases are just as iconic as Starbuck’s red holiday cups. In a press release, Ali LaBelle, creative director of art and design at ban.dō had this to share,

"We wanted this collection to feel festive regardless of what you celebrate. We've also never created an ornament before, so it was really exciting to design something as iconic as the Starbucks holiday ornament."

The floral coffee cup ornament aside, we have our eye on the emerald green coffee cup adorned with blush, white, and red blooms as well as the matching small holiday notebooks. We think these are perfect for keeping tabs on gifts to buy and gifts to hopefully ask for!

After all, who doesn’t feel warm and content after sharing an afternoon of conversation while sipping a taste of the season with a classic Starbucks holiday latte?
