Jenna Ortega, SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan, Wayv’s Ten & More Attend Saint Laurent’s Men’s Winter 2023 Show in Paris — See Photos

Milan Men's Fashion Week might have been getting all our attention, but Paris has also entered the chat with a little help from Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega, SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan, WayV's Ten, and, of course, Anthony Vaccarello.

On January 17, celebs and models from all around the world made their way to the French capital for the fashion spectacle that would be the Saint Laurent's Men's Winter 2023 show. The show was held at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, located in Paris's 1st arrondissement, just a few minutes away from the Louvre Museum, and marked Vaccarello's return to Paris's men's fashion schedule. (His previous collection for Saint Laurent was shown at the Agafay Desert in Morocco.)

With a predominantly white and black color palette, as it's almost customary of the French maison, Vaccarello continued the vein he had already started in the past, juxtaposing structured silhouettes with more fluid shapes. The aim, per the house, was to show an "ultra-focused presentation" that would "reinforce a sense of bold sophistication" with each look and to say they achieved it would be an understatement.

Ultra-long pieces — turtlenecks, leather jackets, coats — were paired with flowy pants to maximize the silhouettes, but texture was the order of the day, with mohair, cashmere, satin, and velvet all coming out to play alongside the usual suspects. Restrained maximalism would be the best way to describe it.

Of course, the collection was also infused with Saint Laurent's now-infamous androgyny. "The house's signature dialogue between masculine and feminine continues with increasing fluidity: while borrowed male elements always inform Saint Laurent womenswear, here a reciprocal influence is inescapable," the show notes read. “It is evident in the masterful play of proportions and an idea of wrapping the body: further developing the hooded silhouettes of the most recent Saint Laurent women's collection, a number of men's looks for Winter 2023 extend up to cover the head with cagoules.”
