Reformation Launched Its Third-annual Online Vintage Collection
Reformation has long been a favorite of style icons and celebs not only for its cool, flirty, vintage-inspired dresses and separates, but for its eco-chic mission of sustainability. The brand is all about minimizing waste and reusing vintage deadstock fabric for its designs. They've been carbon neutral since 2015, and even offer their customers a $100 gift card if they switch to wind energy. Other climate-friendly initiatives practiced by Reformation include their RefRecycling program, where customers can send clothing to be recycled by the brand for free, and a partnership with a textile waste company called Osomtex, which takes scraps from their Los Angeles factory and repurposes them into yarn and fabric.
The brand is taking things one step further with the launch of their third-annual online vintage collection. Where do Reformation's vintage pieces come from? "Reformation’s vintage is sourced from all over the world," the brand tells Teen Vogue. "The brand works with different vendors to get a selection of items and then handpicks every piece. Once pieces are chosen, they have an amazing in-house seamstress who helps restore any damages to make sure everything is flawless. From there the pieces are reworked and modernized to get an effortless Reformation look."
