Learn How To Get Nina Dobrev's 2012 Teen Choice Awards Hair and Makeup
Nina Dobrev was positively glowing at the Teen Choice Awards. The Vampire Diaries actress looked fresh-faced and radiant, with sweeps of gold eyeshadow and a bronzed complexion. Long, thick lashes and dark liner made her brown eyes pop. Her silky tresses were twisted artfully into two waterfall braids wrapped around her head. Nina's natural makeup and romantic braids made the perfect foil for her structured jewel-toned dress.

The Makeup
"Her dress was a rich green jewel tone so I decided to really play up her eyes and keep the rest of the makeup fresh," explains Mann. "I started by prepping Nina's skin with Dior Hydra Life Sorbet Cream and Dior Skinflash Primer. I applied a thin layer of Diorskin Fluid Foundation over her skin using my Beauty Blender and went in with Diorskin Perfecting Concealer to cover any remaining areas. To warm the skin and give her a natural sun-kissed glow, I applied Diorskin Natural Radiance & Glow powder along the cheeks and jaw line. Then, I set the makeup using Diorskin Nude Loose powder. I really wanted Nina's eyes to stand out so I started off by filling in her brows using Diorshow Brow Styler and applied a wash of Dior Eyeshadow in Gold Touch all over her lid with a wet brush to enrich the color. I applied Diorshow Waterproof Eyeliner along the upper lash line as well as the inside water line to frame the eyes and finished off with a few coats of Diorshow Mascara in Black. We completed the look using Dior Rouge Lipstick in 483 for a natural lip look."

The Hair
"First, calm frizzies with a smoothing balm," advises Capri. "I used Wella Velvet Amplifier on Nina. Next, curl your hair with a two-inch iron to give it body and spray all over with a texture spray, like Oribe Après Beach Spray. Then, it's time to create the braid. Criss-cross your two waterfall braids at the back of your head and bobby pin in place to copy Nina's style. It's an easy way to keep your hair out of your face!"
