How to Create Lea Michele's Voluminous Waves at Home

Lea Michele was the picture of wavy-haired perfection at the 2012 Do Something Awards. Her hair is glossy but still full of volume and her blonde highlights are super summery. She paired the laid-back 'do with smudged eyeliner, a few coats of mascara, and a glossy bronze lip color.

Dove Celebrity Stylist Mark Townsend has beach waves down to a science and he knew the look would go well with her current cut. "Working with Lea is such an incredible inspiration because she loves to take risks and change up her red carpet looks all the time. We wanted to go with a classic full body look to show off all her long layers," explains Townsend.

"I started by applying a few drops of Dove Nourishing Oil Care Anti-Frizz Serum to her damp hair and blow dried with a large round Spornette Mid Bristle Brush. When the hair was dry, I sprayed Dove StyleCare Strength Shine Flexible Hold Hairspray on three-inch sections of hair and wrapped the hair around a large one and a half-inch curling iron. After I curled all the hair, I took a nickel-size amount of Dove StyleCare Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum in my hands and rubbed them together to warm up the product. Then, raked my hands through the hair to break up the curls and give them amazing shine and definition. I finished by spraying Dove StyleCare Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray on a disposable mascara wand and then brushed it through Lea's bangs to keep them shiny and in place all night without looking or feeling crunchy."
