I first started my channel at the beginning of 2009 because after being an only child for 11 years, my mom and dad ended up having my baby brother, Neiko. With the attention that a baby requires, I needed to occupy my time while they were tending to him. I found myself looking at YouTube videos and thought it would be a great idea to put my creative side out there.
What’s your beauty philosophy?
You don’t need makeup to feel beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

My amazing viewers! I ask them if they have any requests for me for videos and they send me a whole bunch of ideas. Out of all those ideas I pick out a couple of them and write them down in my YouTube journal.
**Who are a few of your favorite beauty gurus and why do you love their channels? **
A few of my favorite beauty gurus are Michelle Phan and AndreasChoice. I love their channels because they are very professional but also down-to-earth people.

In my makeup bag I have my Maybelline BB Cream, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Zero, Benefit They're Real Mascara, MAC Mineralized Skin Finish, and my Burt's Bees lip balm.
**What three beauty products do you find yourself buying over and over again? **
Three makeup products I find myself buying over and over again are Urban Decay Primer Potion, Benefit They're Real Mascara, and Amazing Cosmetics Concealer.

My favorite hairstyle to create is a sock bun. They're so easy to style but look like you took hours doing it!
What was your hardest video to film and why did you find it difficult?
The hardest videos to film are Halloween tutorials because I had a deadline to get them up and I had to get the costume, props, and makeup for the looks. It took forever to create them!
**Do you have advice for a reader who wants to start a channel? **
Don't try to be someone you're not! People love seeing you having fun. I attribute my success to being genuine.
