A Lesson in Bestie Dressing: Kendall & Gigi’s Most Stylish Outings
2015 Getty Images1/12It’s kind of hard to think of anything more fabulous than being the one of the most sought-after models in the fashion industry, jet-setting from New York to Milan to Paris for runway shows and glittering parties — except maybe doing it all with your best friend.
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have experienced a near meteoric rise to the top ranks of the fashion industry, and they've done it hand-in-hand. Both girls landed multi-million dollar campaigns and scored coveted spots opening fashion shows for designers like Balmain, Elie Saab, and Diane Von Furstenberg. Despite being technical competitors, they've been one another's biggest cheerleader.
Sort of like a Betty and Veronica of the fashion world, Kendall and Gigi each bring a unique look and their own particular style to the table — or runway, as it were. When Kendall goes long, lean, and fluid, Gigi goes fitted and flirtatiously short. Sometimes they embrace the matchy-matchy look (hey, we do it too sometimes!), but each of their individual tastes is always apparent.
Hemlines and cheek bones aside, there’s a much more organic reason we can’t stop looking at these long-legged besties: They obviously genuinely love each other and have real fun together, even when they’re being mobbed by flashbulbs. Thanks to Instagram, too, we get a (probably very well curated but also quite raw) peek into their day-to-day lives. Sure they’re doing it for millions of followers, but it’s refreshing to see a couple of friends post photos of each other pretty much the same way we do.
