JK Rowling Sketches 'Harry Potter' Illustrations
JK Rowling's work on Harry Potter has really come full circle. In addition to creating the intricate world that Harry and his friends inhabit — and all of those spells! — she's also dabbled in illustrating the Wizarding World. Of course, they're the most magical sketches ever. Given her natural ability to depict magic, this shouldn't have come as much of a surprise. (Seriously though, who knew she had this hidden talent?)
While Mary GrandPré illustrated the now iconic covers of the American Harry Potter books, Pottermore just published illustrations that Rowling drew of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardy story — you know, the American Hogwarts. Now the The Rowling Library released additional drawings by Rowling from a series of different Harry Potter scenes. Scroll through and see the story in a completely reimagined light.
