Google Released the Most-Googled Halloween Costumes
The scariest and also sweetest night of the year has almost arrived. It's time to wrap up your Halloween preparations and decide on a costume. The lead-up to this year's festivities has been filled with inspiration, including a Nightmare Before Christmas look brought to you by Pinterest, a group costume even Riverdale would be proud of, and a beauty routine that had us doing a triple take. If you're still scrambling to decide on a costume, you may want to take a look at Google. The search engine has compiled a list of its most searched costumes, and it looks like Halloween 2018 will be filled with unicorns, superheroes, and even a rabbit.
According to the results of Google Frightgeist, the most searched costume of the year goes to Fortnite. The costume based on a video game has been super popular among U.S. residents, with costumes inspired by Spider-Man, unicorns, dinosaurs, witches, and Harley Quinn following close behind.
Other popular costumes this year include zombies, mermaids, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, and pumpkins. Even a few TBT moments are having their time in the costume spotlight, with outfits inspired by the 1980s and a Power Rangers rounding out the top 50 most searched costumes. You can take a gander at the complete list for yourself, and if you're totally in love with anything from the top 10, we've compiled a list of retailers where you can purchase the costume for yourself.
