(Yep, there is a level beyond just “sequin mini dress.”) To step out one night during Milan Fashion Week, the supermodel donned a semi-sheer Versace dress and platform patent leather sandals—and now all our other going-out dresses seem sub-par.
We love this dress because not only is it short and party-ready, it’s also colorful and fun. Mixing colors and embellishments and sheer panels and an artful hemline all together could be totally overwhelming, but with black as the baseline color, it works.
Next time you’re planning a night out with your girlfriends, consider a dress with a little more something-something. Appliqué lace, sequins and sheer sleeves all make your average LBD (or LWD) that much more special. Just remember to keep the rest of your accessories low key.
