Form Festival Street Style: See All the Head-Turning Looks
At the one-of-a-kind Form Festival held in Arcosanti, Arizona, several talented artists chose to express themselves not only through their music but through their outfits. The women in particular stood out in looks that transformed their performances to a higher level of art. Luminaries including Charli XCX and Sudan Archives took the stage in incredible looks you'll want to copy this all summer festival season long. And watching from the crowd, in outfits ranging from loose-fitting khaki pants and off-shoulder crop tops, to printed maxi skirts and bright-colored tanks, festival attendees took brilliant sartorial risks that were anything but cliché. Jasmine Safaeian1/8Zola Jesus, who performed a song dedicated to her uncle and victims of suicide, wore a crimson top that looked as if she had wings propelling her forward, adding to the intensity of the song.

Jasmine Safaeian3/8On Saturday, Kelsey Lu (pictured), started us off wearing a creation of multicolored tissue paper with an oversized black hat (very Valentino-inspired) with black feathers that blew in the wind. Following the performance as she handed out the sunflowers that covered the stage, the crowd erupted into singing and wished her a happy birthday — a very special and intimate moment that is so unique to the Form Festival.
Jasmine Safaeian4/8Courtney Barnett, later that evening, donned an all black, punk, ensemble that was fitting to her aesthetic and all around added to her badass performance.
Jasmine Safaeian5/8On Sunday, the artists really turned out, starting with Half Waif who rocked a very '90s look of a spaghetti strap top and platform sandals. Then was Nicole Miglis from Hundred Waters, who also happens to be one of the original founders of the festival, who wore an all white get-up with ropes tied around her thigh-high boots which also matched the setting of their performance.
Charli XCX (pictured) also got the crowd going while jumping around the stage in her Nike sneaks and white see-through tracksuit as she called on fans to join her. And last but certainly not least, for the final performance of the weekend, Victoria Legrand from Beach House wore a black leather jacket with matching pants while urging and instigating the crowd to not be shy and get up and groove.
Courtesy of Vans6/8All in all, the artists' looks were inspired, personal, and fitting in this extraordinary setting. The crowd matched this feel with very original and also sensible looks of their own. Knowing it’s 90+ degrees during the day and then drops at night, all concert goers mastered the art of layering while putting their own spin on it.

In the setting of an eco-city, with a humble festival of only 1,500 guests, the most important part of the experience was being yourself and feeling comfortable while still experimenting with style.
