10 Outfits That Prove Florals for Spring Really ARE Groundbreaking

We know, we know — florals are nothing new for spring. However, we must say, the way some of our favorite celebs have been styling the pretty print lately have us rethinking our commitment to solid hues. And we're not talking about your average floral frocks here. Chloë Grace Moretz put a '70s spin on a rosy pink skirt, Skai Jackson added a pop of print to an easy daytime look, and Taylor Swift continued to explore her dark side in a black velvet number — and they weren't the only ones.

WHO: Yara Shahidi
WORE: A dark denim jacket, pale pink floral blouse, and jeans.
WHERE: The City Year Los Angeles Spring Break Event at Sony Studios.
WHY: For as long as we can remember, wearing denim-on-denim required matching hues. By breaking up the blue with this sweet pink top, Yara proves that rule is so last year.

WHO: Maisie Williams
WORE: A pale pink dress, diamond choker, and metallic pointed pumps.
WHERE: The House Of Fraser British Academy Television Awards in London.
WHY: We love how Maisie toughened up this modest frock with a cool choker and glowing skin. Can you say #browgoals? - Photo: Getty Images4/12
WHO: Rowan Blanchard
WORE: A Mother of Pearl dress with a black sheer panel and Aquatalia sandals.
WHERE: The City Year Los Angeles Spring Break in L.A.
WHY: Rowan's dress is amazing, but the real star of the look might have to be her shoes. The straps have enough shine to make them perfect for a big night out, but the flatforms make them comfortable enough to actually wear all night long.
