The Suede Skirt
Although we often associate suede with colder climates, this lu textile is actually adaptable to and totally wearable in warmer weather as well—as long as the hemline doesn’t go past your knees. Test the waters with an unexpected pastel hue and sport it up with a gym sweatshirt, athletic socks, and a satin cap for a girly-meets-sporty vibe. Still too hot for the sweatshirt? Tie it around your waist, and it’ll look just as cool.

The Sweater Vest
With the school year inching closer by the day, we can’t help but make a beeline for the cozy knit section of any and every department store. But as much as we want to start wearing those soft layers now, the idea of sweating through August doesn’t exactly sound like the most enjoyable way to close out the season. Our answer to this major dilemma? A sweater vest, of course! Layer yours over a sleeveless collared shirt with a pleated skirt and chunky heels for a back-to-school-inspired look you can wear right now.

The Utilitarian Jacket
Here at Teen Vogue, we’re big fans of layering. Come fall, this khaki anorak will kill it on regular rotation in our wardrobe, but that isn’t stopping us from sneaking it into the line-up early, pairing it with a silk cami and tropical-printed culottes. Metallic flats and quirky-cool bracelets make this the only outfit we want to wear on our final days bumming it around the boardwalk.
