You Deserve a Medal by Stefan Bucher
The perfect gift for a friend in need of a smile, suggests honors that should be bestowed on those who have battled (with valor) through tough relationship skirmishes. My favorites include: "The Worst of Times Medal for Breakup Survival," "The Learned Optimism Star," (awarded for the completion of the 10th self-help book in pursuit of wisdom to be applied to future relationships) and "The Parental Inspection Medal" (given for completing the initial meeting of one’s partnet’s parents and laying the foundation for eventual family acceptance).

A new piece of art
If you're lucky enough to be in a relationship with an artist, an original piece made by someone you love can't be beat. If not, you can also sourceout young talent. Danny Roberts, who does beautiful fashion illustrations, is incredible talented and only 20 years old. The best part is, his prints are just $20 apiece —a price anyone can afford!

A homemade card and fondue dinner
The best present ever is coming home to a beautifully set table (with flowers, of course!) and a home-cooked dinner. My husband's specialty is fondue. It's the perfect meal to share with a loved one. If you don't have a fondue pot, it's definitely worth investing in one! We have a flame-orange pot from Le Creuset, but Fred Flare also has great, inexpensive ones for beginners. As for the card, the store-bought variety is the kiss of death in my book! It's so much more meaningful to get one that's been made just for you.

Tasaki by Thakoon jewelry
Thakoon is a friend of mine, and I've been collecting his clothes since his very first season. But I have yet to add a piece of his jewelry to my collection. The pieces he creates for Tasaki are very sculptural and also iconoclastic, which is a rarity in fine jewelry. They're simultaneously modern and timeless.
