Fairy Tale
Two years ago, a young girl from England (by way of Sri Lanka), clad in leggings, leotards and XL neon T–shirts, danced and rapped her way onto the scene. Arm in arm with her Prince Charming and DJ collaborator, Diplo, she put out her debut CD, Arular and its remix counterpart Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1. In August 2007, she released a follow up, , which was just as solid as the first effort. Now, we all get to live happily ever after with her unique sound.

Sweet Threads
A leather jacket says a couple of things about a person: that the owner is probably cool, hot and confident. Justsweet's gray version of the classic adds a little bit of cute to the mix. The color is less intense than both brown and black and the little pen holders hint at a bit of geek chic. The overall effect is just…sweet.

Shining Shift
It's not easy to dress like the Olsens. So don't pass up your chance to wear a dress almost identical to the vintage one Mary–Kate wore last year, and sparkle from head to toe while doing it! The opportunity comes courtesy of the Olsens' label, Elizabeth and James. All you need now are some bangles, staggering heels, and a pout.

Daring Denim
This new style of jean is not only a little roomier than the ubiquitous skinny jean but it also creates a new silhouette for fall. Stand out from the crowd and try on the trend with a pair of wide leg trousers. Ever versatile, make them hippy–chic with bohemian accessories or sophisticated with a classic blouse.

costume drama
Paul Poiret, the early 1900's Parisian designer, threw the most lavish costume parties. He dressed his wife, who was also his muse, in sequins, feathers and jewels. We can't bring those times back, but this feather headband from Colette Malouf makes it just that much easier to dream. It's a mixture of Parisian nightlife, Swan Lake, and a little imagination.
