We salute polish pro Elizabeth Monson for taking Michael Kors' blue camouflage motif from the fall 2013 runway and making it wearable for everyday in nail-art form. "I'm always drawn to camo prints, but I think the blue and gray colors give it a modern spin," she says.

2/8Apply a Base Coat
"Start every look this way."

"Apply a layer of gray."

4/8Start Drawing White Shapes
"Create an even camouflage shape with the Migi white pen that covers a little less than a third of the nail. To get the shape right, you can either make circles and push their edges out or you can do more of a line that has a bulge in it. You want to create something with multiple rounded sides. You don’t want any hard angles."
5/8Continue With a Blue Pen
"Take the blue nail art pen and create similar, abstract shapes touching the white shapes. You want them to be next to the white, not on them. That should cover another third of the nail. It should be two to four splotches per nail depending on how big you made them."
6/8Begin Using a Black Pen
"Then, take the black nail art pen and create smaller splotches that cover the third of the area that's left, also touching the blue and white splotches."

"To finish, use a topcoat."
