I've always wanted to pursue a career in fashion (I participated in the very first Teen Vogue FashionU in 2006 when I was a junior in high school!) On Christmas morning of 2010, my family was all sitting around after opening presents just hanging out enjoying each others company and my sister decided to show us some YouTube beauty videos that she had recently discovered. After watching, my dad said: "Cait, why don't you do that too?" The rest is history!
What's your beauty philosophy?
I think it's important to be true to yourself and express yourself honestly. Don't take yourself too seriously! Do what comes naturally and don't worry what other people think.

Everywhere! I find inspiration in magazines, online, on tumblr, and on Pintrest. If I see something and I know I can recreate it, or give it my own spin, I’ll make a video on it.
Who are a few of your favorite YouTube beauty bloggers/vloggers and why do you love their channels?
My answer would be six pages long! There are a lot of amazing people I subscribe to, but my absolute favorite YouTuber is my sister Shannon. She’s my best friend and inspiration. I could watch her videos all day long.

I wear my hair down usually in beachy, soft waves. To create this look, I spray Not Your Mother's Salt Spray in damp hair, let it dry, and shake it out. Or sometimes I'll use a one-inch curling rod.
Do you have advice for a reader that wants to start a channel?
Go for it! It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Nothing else can compare to how welcoming the YouTube beauty community can be. I've made some of the most amazing friends that I know I'll have for the rest of my life.

A good tinted moisturizer with SPF, Benefit Bronzer in Hula, Burt's Bees lip balm, a light pink blush, and Fairy Drops mascara.
What three beauty products do you find yourself buying over and over again?
I'm really loyal to products that work for me. I repurchase Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo. I tried at least six different products until I found it, and it's definitely my all time favorite. Maui Babe after browning lotion is an amazing moisturizer for everyday. And I love lip products with SPF.
