10 Movie Bands So Good, They Should Have Toured IRL
Music is a big part of any movie. Whether you’re just enjoying the movie’s soundtrack or watching the story of fictional artists struggling to make it big, memorable melodies enhance major scenes and allow you to relive the moments you love most. But why do some things have to be limited to the big screen? The ten bands below are so good that you’ll totally wish they toured in real life. From Pitch Perfect’s Barden Bellas to a major Lindsay Lohan throwback with her band Pink Slip, these groups made history on and off-screen!

The Weird Sisters from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Remember Hermione’s grand Yule Ball entrance in her pink gown? Think about it as the Hogwarts version of prom, except with some magic and rock ‘n roll. These were the guys playing in the background. Wouldn’t it be incredible if they played at your school? Who wouldn’t want a Harry Potter-themed dance? (It would also be incredible if you could go to Hogwarts, but we won't test our luck.)
- 3/10
School of Rock
Jack Black totally supports the Broadway version of The School of Rock, but nothing beats the OG movie. Even if they’re not planning to hit the road any time soon, a reunion of the band by the same name would be equally as amazing. Calling band manager Summer Hathaway (Miranda Cosgrove) to get the crew together!
- 4/10
The Barden Bellas and the Treblemakers from Pitch Perfect
There are aca-awesome groups out there, but there are no a capella groups like these. Hailee Steinfeld is already going on the road with Meghan Trainor this summer, so why not bring the rest of the cast along too?
- 5/10
Lemonade Mouth
In the Disney Channel Original Movie, the band finishes off with a performance at Madison Square Garden, which is pretty impressive for any artists — let alone a few girls in high school. Their lead singer Bridgit Mendler already has a great solo career, so getting everyone back together shouldn’t be so hard!
- 6/10
Sing Street
Quick question: what’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to impress a crush? If Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) can form a band ) to try and win over Raphina (Lucy Boynton), imagine what the band could do in real life? The cast of the critical darling have performed the songs live, so maybe the next step is a full-on show? Or even better, a live musical? Director John Carney is known for the award-winning movie Once, which is a current Broadway hit.

__Cheetah Girls __
Technically, the Cheetah Girls did go on a few tours, but we want them back. Why? This is girl power at its best. From the streets of New York City, Spain, and India, these girls have conquered every city they’ve ever been in. They may have all gone their separate ways, but High School Musical 4 has proven that a reboot is never truly off the table. You never know when they could be coming to a city near you.
- 8/10
Firgin D’an and the Modal Nodes from Star Wars
They may be from a galaxy far, far away and only have one song called “Mad About Me,” but the band totally deserves a live performance. If they recreate Clone Wars vibes (which is when they first became popular), who wouldn’t want to go to that show?
- 9/10
Jordan Cahill from Stuck in the Suburbs
Though weird things happen in the suburbs, it’s pretty unlikely that you’d be hanging with your favorite pop star all day. The catchy “More Than Me” track was performed by the movie’s mega-star Jordan and his band. If only they could all head back to a small town (Danielle Panabaker and Brenda Song included) and do it all over again.
- 10/10
Isabella Parigi and Paolo Valisari from The Lizzie McGuire Movie
It's too bad Paolo (Yani Gellman) turned out to be such a jerk because he and Isabella — or Lizzie (Hilary Duff)! — would have been the best duo in all of Italy. Then again, having two Hilarys on stage made for a better duet anyway. If only there were actually two of her and we all had a chance to attend the show in the Coliseum. Hey, we'll settle for a Hilary and Haylie Duff revival tour. Now that’s what dreams are made of!
