Some of the Best Fashion Moments From the 2024 LACMA Art & Film Gala

Kim Kardashian, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, and more put on their Saturday best this weekend for the 2024 Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art and Film Gala.

Posing in front of the art museum's famous “Urban Light” display, which includes rows of city streetlights, celebrities of all kinds stood for photos ahead of the prestigious evening. As most galas have tend to become, this event is another Met Gala-adjacent evening, where the stars are competing for best dressed, while also raising money for a good cause.

The thirteenth annual gala once again partnered with Gucci and most people who attended the event were dressed head-to-toe in the luxury Italian brand. From Kardashian's plunging white dress to Omar Apollo's red suit, Gucci was behind each look.

This year's LACMA gala honored American artist Simone Leigh, whose art “situates questions of Black female-identified subjectivity at the center of contemporary art discourse,” according to the website. The event also honored filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, the visionary behind blockbuster movies including Moulin Rouge, Elvis, The Great Gatsby, and more.

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan took the stage during the gala to perform some of their hits, just days after they wrapped up their Sweat Tour, while the co-chairs Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio hosted the evening.

The proceeds of the 2024 gala will go toward film initiatives and the art museum's mission. And while the main purpose of the evening was to raise money for the arts, the fashion stole the show.
