If there's one awards show that deserves your beauty A-game, it's the MTV Video Music Awards. Just think of the iconic trends the show has seen: Lil' Kim's iconic purple wig, Britney's mini crimped waves from 2000, Beyoncé's voluminous glam curls in 2004, Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" pixie, Lady Gaga wearing glam red lipstick and meat in her hair... the list goes on and on. The VMAs celebrate creative expression and give celebrities a chance to go big with their beauty looks, from major hair to over-the-top makeup and flashy outfits, and the 2019 show did not disappoint. We rounded up the best beauty looks of the night, from Taylor Swift's signature red lips to Lizzo's Old Hollywood glamour. After seeing the show, we desperately need a new lip gloss and a purple eyeshadow like Normani's.
