1/21The gorgeous brunette Hadid sister is celebrating a monumental birthday today — she’s 19! We’ve watched her star rise over the past year, and her style evolve with it. Like her older sister Gigi, the increased spotlight has inspired a much more focused aesthetic.
A little more than a year ago, Bella walked the orange carpet for the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards wearing a python print jumpsuit — a stylish if accessible number any of us might wear out on a Saturday night. But as soon as New York Fashion Week arrived in September 2014, a shift was already visible: Bella's red-carpet appearances quickly took a sophisticated turn, adopting a neutral-heavy color palette and sticking with chic silhouettes.
That’s not to say the teenager’s style hasn’t been able to surprise us from time to time (not unlike her sister's). For an outing in Miami last December, for instance, she chose a swingy A-line skirt and knit top in shades of yellow. And one of our favorite numbers ever was a peachy-hued mini dress with ruffled details she wore to a party earlier this year.
