Images from Afrochella 2019, Ghana's Most Stylish Music Festival
The festival saw people from the U.S., Europe, South America, and the Caribbean.
As Harmattan's dry-winter season settled in Ghana, thousands of people came to the country in celebration of Afrochella 2019. The one-day event, on December 27, took place at El Wak Stadium and hosted musical performances, as well as new artist showcases, shopping, and food trucks.
Sprawled out across the multi-purpose stadium less than five miles from the Gulf of Guinea, the festival saw people from the U.S., Europe, South America, and the Caribbean basking in the glow of their melanin. In addition to musical acts, there was also programming focused on multicultural media, art, entrepreneurship, and activism.
