The Best Beauty Looks From the "A Wrinkle in Time" Premiere
If you weren't already excited enough for A Wrinkle in Time to hit the big screens, the photos — and just as importantly, the beauty looks — from Monday night's premiere will have you counting the minutes until March 9th.
At the The El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, next-generation stars like Rowan Blanchard, Yara Shahidi and Storm Reid walked the red carpet alongside Hollywood icons like Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Oprah, all of them looking fabulous as ever. Not only was there lust-worthy makeup and ball gowns so beautiful they'll make you want to empty your bank account come prom season, but there was also a beautiful variety of hair types and textures – a welcome sight on any red carpet.

Storm Reid, who stars as Meg Murry, showed off her XL braids (they're down to her waist ATM) and some seriously dew-y skin. Her face practically glowed from within, with just the right amount of cheek shimmer and a perfect pink lip gloss.

Rowan walked the red carpet in a dazzling sequin gown and makeup to match. To create the actor's metallic lilac eye, makeup artist Amy Strozzi used a combo of Fenty Beauty's Match Stix in "Unicorn," and Lancôme's Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette. She also used a combo of Fenty's matte and shimmer Skin Sticks to give the actress her full-face glow, and to create finished the look with a soft pink lip care of Revlon' Kiss Exfoliating Balm, Sisley's Nutritive Lip Balm, and Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk.

Tessa Thompson paired her evening gown with an effortless bun. She upped her beauty game even more with a hot pink lip and dramatic cat-eye.

Yara Shahidi looked all kinds of Grown-ish in an intricately braided top-knot and a dusty rose lip/cheek combo care of Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Blush Sheer Color in 420 Burning Berry. She swapped her signature winged liner for something a bit more subtle, but her eyes still popped with a set of lashes that appeared to go on for days.

Tracee wore her hair in tight braids, which made her intense black eyeliner and fuchsia lip pop on a whole new level. The Black-ish star also accessorized her floral dress with pink satin boots, which made for a stunning look from braids to pointed toe.

Issa Rae looked like a literal red carpet queen, accessorizing her natural curls with a braided headband tinged with gold. Her makeup also happened to be extra glow-y, with gold eyeshadow, a metallic purple lip and highlighter so flawless it looked practically reflective.

Sasha Lane served major natural-looking face with subtle makeup and long locs that stretched down her back. Her berry lipstick matched the detailing in her dress perfectly, which made the whole look even more of a winner.

Gugu's emerald cat-eye, for the absolute win. The Black Mirror star, who plays Dr. Kate Murray in A Wrinkle in Time, paired her show-stopping electric eye with a braid-and-curl-combo updo and smooth, matte skin.
